some updates on my
weekend trip to Malacca.
Money was well spent on food: Cheap and Good!
I seriously dislike the bus journey.. hhz.zzzzz.

Our hotel, Hotel Puri.
We chose this hotel as this was one of the places that was featured
in some of the series of Channel 8 TV show "Little Nyonya".
It look more like a "ghost hotel" or Brothel. WAHAHHAH.

Once we have our bags settled and check in to our rooms,
off we head for nyonya food!!!!
Settled for peranakan food nearby our hotel !!

The weather was damm HOT!
I thought I could survive without the umbrella, but I WAS WRONG!!
Head burning. I survived anyway. hehehehh.
On our bus journey, this tour guide was recommending this place for great kueh kuehs,
"this ondeh ondeh that melts in your mouth"
Our mouth literally felt this melting sensation upon hearing this, and
it became our must-try mission. Of course we went, guess what?
" where got melt in your mouth?"
The ondeh ondeh from Amoy street market is still the Best!!!!.. cannot beat!

- the ondeh ondeh that did not melt -
Jonker Street

too much of a coincidence to meet one of our colleagues,
even when we're out of Singapore!!!
Where to settle our dinner?
street after street, in search of Satay Celup,
also known as Lok Lok (simply = steamboat in satay gravy).

First tried Chicken Rice Ball (Famosa)

Chicken Rice Ball:
Indeed Bouncy, like ping pong ball;
Very shiny and glossy, like coated with layer oil.
hahaha. not that I fancy thou, not that texture.
still prefer the Singapore style chicken rice,
at least you can taste the chicken rice fragrance.
Next, we went to try penang laksa and the much-raved famous Durian Chendol!!!
(yeah why penang laksa in Malacca right?)
whaah. penang laksa is my fav!!
the gravy is spicy + sour and served with tuna.
not something you can find in Singapore.
love the Durian chendol too....
Durian chendol + mango chendol + the original Chendol
